Apple’s soon-to-be-released iOs 11.3 will feature a major update to its Health app that will provide users with access to their medical records through their iPhone. Johns Hopkins, Cedars-Sinai and Penn Medicine are among the first healthcare organizations to offer the access to their patients. Apple’s entry into the health and medical records space suggests the company sees considerable opportunity in improving the consumer experience and consumer access to their own healthcare data and information.
