St. Louis-based Ascension, the United States’ largest not-for-profit Catholic health system, recently announced a new strategic direction in a video announcement from President and CEO Anthony Tersigni. The statement hinted that Ascension would begin to shift away from a hospital-oriented model and toward a stronger focus on outpatient care and telemedicine services.
