Collective Medical, a technology firm that focuses on collaborative care, has announced $47.5 million in Series A funding. Among the participants in the round are Kleiner Perkins Caulfield Byers, Bessemer Ventures and Kaiser Permanente Ventures. The firm makes software that helps physicians collect data from multiple emergency room and check whether patients are seeking opioids. It also helps hospital and health plans identify and manage at-risk patients for a range of conditions and care settings. The company will use the funding to expand its leadership team, as well as engineering, clinical support, sales and marketing organizations.
