St. Louis-based insurer Centene and Ascension, the world’s largest Catholic health system, have announced plans to launch a joint Medicare Advantage insurance plan.
Both organizations hope to launch the plan to market by 2020. “We share a commitment of serving the underserved and intend to leverage the best capabilities of both organizations to provide high quality, affordable healthcare to support the needs of low-income seniors,” said Centene’s Chairman and CEO, Michael Neidorff.
