The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today finalized 2019 Medicare drug and care plans which will lower the cost of prescriptions for beneficiaries. The new policies allow certain generic drugs to be substituted for higher-cost, brand-name drugs at any time during the year as well as improving competition and the number of pharmacy options.
