The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has announced a final rule that officially ends the episode payment models and cardiac rehabilitation incentive payment model which were scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2018. CMS Administrator Seema Verma added that new bundled payment models are expected to be announced soon.
