CMS Releases Final ACA Rule for 2019

On April 9 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the final rule for the Affordable Care Act in 2019. The rule increases states’ flexibility in determining Essential Health Benefits (EHB) as well as eliminates the meaningful difference requirement for Qualified Health Plans (QHP). Other points include amendments to the risk adjustment data validation program and changes to special enrollment periods (SEP).
