Yesterday the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced (BPCI Advanced) payment model. The BPCI Advanced is a voluntary bundled payment model that allows participants to earn additional payments if all expenditures for a designated episode of care are below a specified total amount. The Model Performance Period will run from October 1, 2018 through December 31, 2023.
