With the looming physician shortage, many providers are looking to the emerging healthtech sector to fill in the gaps in providing care. Yet a new post from Deloitte’s Life Sciences & Health Care Blog highlights the skill gap between the number of organizations who believe they must innovate and those actively hiring the talent to do so.

The article also offers strategies for attracting such top-level talent. Creating a digital culture and collaborating with outside groups are some of the more high-level suggestions, while also emphasizing the need to specifically target hires with data science backgrounds who can help “manage the path from research and development to bringing a new product to market.”
