Hospitals’ and Healthcare CEOs’ Biggest Priority: Control Care Delivery Costs

0

According to the Advisory Board’s Annual Health Care CEO Survey, conducted between December of last year and March of this, the single most important priority for most US healthcare organizations and hospitals is to control costs.

62% of 146 healthcare C-suite members who responded to the Advisory Board’s survey said that their hospital or health system’s primary concern right now is achieving sustainable cost reductions in care delivery as they prepare their organizations’ practice for value-based care (VBC).

Becker’s Hospital Review reported that innovation, revenue stream diversification, outpatient market share and meeting healthcare consumers’ shifting demands remain other top priorities for US healthcare execs.
