House Passes Bills to Suspend Health Insurance Tax, Expand Savings Accounts

0

The House of Representatives has passed two bills, HR 6311 and HR 6199, that will suspend the health insurance tax for another year and expand the use of health insurance savings accounts, respectively.

The health insurance tax had already been suspended for the 2019 fiscal year – the new bill, if passed into law, will hold it off until at least 2020. For health savings accounts, HR 6199 repeals legislation that barred money in those accounts from being used to purchase over-the-counter drugs.
