IBM Partners with U.K.’s NHS for Cybersecurity

In the most recent tech company move into the healthcare space, IBM has inked a 3-year deal with the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) to strengthen the healthcare organization’s cybersecurity practice. As part of the deal, IBM will help enhance and expand NHS Digital’s Cyber Security Operations Centre as well as improve monitoring, data analysis and vulnerability scanning.

“It will build on our existing ability to proactively monitor for security threats, risks and emerging vulnerabilities,” said Dan Taylor, head of the NHS’ digital data security centre, “while supporting the development of new services for the future and enabling us to better support the existing needs of local organisations.”
