Minneapolis, MN-based startup Bind wants to shake up the healthcare insurance landscape by introducing on-demand coverage for employers.

The company works with UnitedHealth to offer insurance plans to self-insured employers. These plans’ “Core” coverage includes primary and specialty care, with options to purchase “Add-Ins” to cover procedures outside of those areas. Bind is currently backed by Ascension Ventures, UnitedHealthcare and Lemhi Ventures.
