New Microsoft Healthcare Team Preps to Push Health Data to the Cloud

Microsoft certainly isn’t a new entrant to the healthcare space – but its recently announced Microsoft Healthcare team looks to be one of the tech giant’s biggest steps yet into the industry.

The new initiative aims to work with physicians to make more patient data accessible through the cloud, as well as apply artificial intelligence to analyze data. Jim Weinstein, former CEO of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health and Joshua Mandel, formerly an executive at Google’s Verily Life Sciences, have taken on the roles of VP and chief architect, respectively.
