AI has been a big buzzword in the healthcare space – and some of its applications have been more fruitful than others. But a recent study conducted by Accenture Strategy predicts that AI capabilities could lead to savings of $150 billion in the healthcare industry by 2026.
The study addresses 10 applications of artificial intelligence that would be of most benefit to patients, providers and payers alike. Robot-assisted surgery was the foremost, along with virtual nursing assistants and administrative workflow applications also topping Accenture’s analysis.
