University of Washington (UW) Medicine has allocated $180 million for a 30-month long plan to transition to a single, as-of-yet unannounced EHR, replacing its current Cerner and Epic systems. As of now, UW’s inpatient sites use Cerner Millennium, while outpatient sites utilize Epic systems. The transformation will align UW’s EHR across all sites, and is expected to go live in late 2020.
