The US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced a partnership with DeepMind, a leader in artificial intelligence research, to tackle in-hospital patient deterioration. The collaboration will focus on creating algorithms to identify risk factors and predict deterioration before it occurs by analyzing 700,000 historical health records.
