A recent article from Healthcare Finance suggests that as more physicians are now working at multiple providers, the disparity in EHRs is contributing to physician burnout. On top of these systems’ complexities and the burden of data input and cataloguing, EHR use can be a real time-suck for physicians. While consolidation is one way the problem could be addressed, many believe that it’s up to the technology vendors and providers to do more for their physicians when it comes to data accessibility.
